     Happy Monday, everyone! Hope your weekend was super restful and you're ready to take on the week ahead! I'm kicking off the week by sharing my first outfit look in quite a while.

These photos were taken by my wonderful boyfriend on his IPhone during a recent shopping trip, so please excuse the quality. I just had to share them because this is one of my current favorite outfits - my go-to look for when I want to actually dress up. I bought this ribbed body-con dress from Free People. It isn't something I would usually choose for myself but I actually love the way it looks on me; from afar, I actually have curves! I paired it with my favorite Matt & Nat Handbag and the best of all trends this summer, the humble hair barrette. This one is a tortoise shell slider barrette from Skinnydip, a brand I haven't found an opportunity to talk about yet, but I love them.

     Yesterday I filmed something I've been wanting to work on for a long time: my first mini lookbook video! I wore my fuzzy new HYFVE Teddy Bomber, and it is so soft and warm. I love it! It's also pretty affordable for a teddy jacket. Score!

I also filmed a lot of footage for my next post, a shopping vlog at the Sephora VIB sale. Shhh!

     Totally just kidding, because I've never been on a road trip in my life. Far from snapping pictures in gorgeous, exotic locations, this photography adventure saw me taking photos in a drive-through and wondering if this is rock bottom, blogger-wise.

Remaining positive and confident in the fashion-blogging world is tricky. There's always someone (or thousands of someones) with better equipment, more talent, a better wardrobe...the list is endless. That's a lot to compare yourself to, and there are times I feel under constant pressure to step up my game. Sometimes more than possible.

It's useful to remind myself to take a step back and breathe. This is not a competition, and instead of envying other girls that find success with blogging, I should be applauding them and lifting them up. After all, they prove it's possible to follow your passions and find success with them, even if you start off with no experience. I received some helpful advice recently that I've been trying to internalize: Don't aim to be an expert, just aim to be better than you were.

     Yay, It's Friday! Hope you're as excited for the weekend as I am. Today's outfit post is a bit photo-heavy because I love this new tee shirt and also how my legs look in these shorts #sorrynotsorry. I'm wearing my typical weekend uniform: a slogan tee and denim.

I just ordered this tee from my all-time favorite tee shirt designer, Ban.do. I was a little worried when I received it because it felt different - they've evidently changed their manufacturer and it felt just a bit thinner than usual. I was relieved to find they are just as soft and perfect as ever, though, and am so thrilled with the peachy color.

     Happy Saturday! I hope everyone's having an amazing weekend so far. This week I visited the annual tulip festival in my little British Colombian town. It was beautiful and so colorful! It was also a little windy - my hair wouldn't cooperate!

At first, I was unsure whether I should publish these photos or not. They would have turned out better if I had dressed up, but lately I've been embracing my tomboy side when getting dressed. On this day, I was comfortable in my Keds and jeans. I'm also wearing my current favorite sweater, a Brunette The Label one I picked up in a local shop. So comfy!

     The first days of Autumn are upon us, but I couldn't let Summer slip past without one more outfit post. As excited as I am for Fall, I'm going to miss the easy days of just throwing on a pair of denim shorts. I'm a lazy girl at heart, so denim shorts are pretty much my Summer wardrobe (besides comfy dresses, of course).

     Another week is in full swing! Did anyone else feel like the weekend wasn't quite long enough? Today I'm back with another outfit post featuring a flowy dress I've just added to my wardrobe.

I fell in love with this dress when I visited one of my favorite local shops, Montrose & George. It's made by PS The Label, which I hadn't previously heard of, but they make some beautiful pieces. The material is so soft, almost silky, and I love the lilac color. I paired it with my trusty wedge heels and vegan leather bucket bag for an understated, casual look, keeping with that boho vibe. I kept my hair in loose waves to play up the carefree, effortless aspect.

     Hello out there! I hope the first week of May has been as good for you as it has been for me.

I've been especially busy this past month. Aside from blogging and general life, I've been preoccupied with my new puppy. I adopted an adorable Chihuahua last week, and so far, he's been keeping me exhausted and happy.

Despite my hectic schedule, I have a list of goals to accomplish for May. I find it really helpful to set new goals at the beginning of each month. I'm constantly making lists and notes on my phone of things I want or need to do. I've decided that at the beginning of each month, I will share my goals on Jackie O My! Goals are so much more enjoyable when you share them! I'd love to hear yours in the comments as well.

     Hello, and happy Monday! I hope your Easter weekend was as relaxing and stress-free as mine.

I've been loving the change from winter to spring. The sun has been peeking through the clouds more and more, and I've been spending my time taking long walks in the grass and happily reading good books at Starbucks.

It's so refreshing to finally shed my winter boots and jacket for sandals and pastel colors. I just bought this sweater from Aerie, and I believe it's my new favorite. The material is so soft! Try as I did, I couldn't get the words on the front, "Hello Sunshine", to show up in these pictures. Still, it perfectly captures my frame of mind today. Bring on the sun!
