A Look Back Over The Past Year Of Jackie O My

Monday 31 December 2018
2018 is coming to a close, so I'm celebrating all the accomplishments here at Jackie O My! I didn't achieve exactly everything I wanted to (not even close!), but I'm happy to say some opportunities sprung up that I never imagined, and I'm proud of the work I have to show for myself. So here's a little roundup of my five favorite posts of the past year.

1. In May, I attended my town's annual tulip festival, something I had never done before. I had a blast taking photos in the colorful fields of flowers, and I really loved the photos the trip produced.

2. In April, I conducted my first ever interview on Jackie O My. Incredible artist Ginnie Hsu was kind enough to answer some of my questions for the blog, and sent some beautiful photos of her and her dog, Luna. She's the sweetest person to work with.

3. April was also the month I wrote my first beauty product review. I was hesitant to enter the beauty blogger field, simply because it's competitive and I dislike being publicly critical. However, I also love discussing my favorite products, so I couldn't stay away long!

4. Over the summer, I had a lot more time to get creative with blog photography. In September, I wanted to do something colorful, and this local restaurant reminded me of a drive-in, so I stood in the drive-thru to take these shots. I actually really like how they turned out!

5. I also started a few new post series in 2018: Brand Love, 5 Things I Love, and Wellness Diary. This has been the year of trying new things, and not everything has worked out. I started a lot of posts over the year, and came up with a lot of ideas I ended up scrapping. But you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs!

What has been your favorite accomplishment of the year? Let me know below!
